I've come across some evidence that The Family had a policy against the mention or discussion of any members suffering from AIDS, and the threat of excommunication was used to suppress this information.

Despite the lack of data from The Family International, I've been able to piece together some information on a few members who died from AIDS.

1) a female member who became contracted HIV through a blood transfusion and dying from AIDS

2) a bi-sexual male Canadian or someone who lived in Canada, who died from AIDS in 1991 or 1992

3) a young Italian male died from AIDS in the late 80s

There seems to be at least 2 other members who have/had HIV or AIDS.

In some or all of these cases, the victims were shunned, exiled and left to fend for themselves, emarginated, and told that God was punishing them for their sins.

The Family International should not be allowed to dishonor the lives of these people who gave themselves to what they believed was a good cause. Neither should they be allowed hide the truth about their past, and the real fruits of their promiscuity, policies against safe sex, and practice of FFing.

If anyone knows of these and other members who contracted HIV or died from AIDS, please reply to this post, and include your email address so I can contact you for some details. Thank you.
