Good answer, Coordinator. I wouldn't have the courtesy you expressed in your post to Rachel as I have no patience with intellectually lazy people who want others to do their work for them. I'm just amazed that students and researchers post here from time to time expecting easy answers to complex questions. They often don't even bother to do the hard work of formulating the right questions that will lead them to the answers they seek.
I know I'm probably sounding self-righteous to some, but I guess I'm a bit like those ex-smokers, who having fought the hard battle to quit have no patience with those who continue. In my case, having been indoctrinated by the culture generally, and by the cult specifically, it was a lot easier to believe in the magical thinking that is Christianity, with its absolute "truths", than to do the hard intellectual questioning and reasoning that is required to examine the world generally, and my self specifically.
