Chronologically speaking, I would like to hear from others regarding what they know as fact, or heard about in family history from those that experienced things, as to what the family was behind the scenes and up front. I joined in 1970. I remember hearing from original members about the earliest days and how different people went different directions after (or possibly before Laurentide) for awhile. One branch spoke only in King James Version dialect using thee's and thou's etc. I heard this from someone who was there, and who was in that sub-group. Berg documents the F. starting at Huntington Beach in the " Lighthouse" where he took over a teen challenge(?) or something and started the "revolution" for Jesus, dressing in black beret, presenting himself with a sort of mystique. Anyone that can describe these earliest days around?
