For obvious reasons I'd rather not give my name.

My father kidnapped his brother's 2 daughters in order that their mother could return to the Family. He helped her sneak them out of his brother's house in the night and over the border to another country. They were not heard from for years and years, when they finally did return to their family they had been severely abused.

My father to this day does not admit that what he did was wrong and has convinced himself that it was 'God's way vs. man's way' and that what he did was right in God's eyes.

My mother was basically denied the privelege of visiting us for 10 years when we were in the group. We were restricted by leadership in our contact and communication with her, all outgoing mail was read and modified as leaders felt was necessary. It got to a point that any incoming mail, photos or gifts from her were confiscated and not passed on to us, though we were informed of their arrival and expected to return a thank-you note to her. My mother hates the Family for this and for the fact that we did not get a proper education as well as the fact that one of her children was beated and molested by a high-profile Family member.
