Here's another URL for those interested in the historical facts about Gnosticism.
It's scholarly, and kind of long, but well worth the read.
What is a great surprise, for those who have never actually researched Gnosticism, is that there are so many kinds.
Its source is India; not Greece. Tradesmen brought it to the middle eastern world.
