Man! It was all about the money, wasn't it? Don't worry, I'm not just cluing in to this for the first time but the story you told was a pretty sad one and really hammered this point home. Berg was always one to sacrifice the bait and the peons and the peasants to the wolves.
He even called Family members "peasants" in one letter.
