Chimp males have Harems. They have alpha males with a bunch of females that no other males can touch.
Bonobo society isn't like that. They live in groups that all have sex with each other, males with females, females with females, males with males, and yes, adults with juveniles.
So, the fam seems like a cross between the two. Most members were expected to live like bonoboes, sharing each other in common sexualy, with very few boundaries. Mo also did that with some women (and men?) and girls. But, from what I have read, he also had a chimp style haram of women that no other guy could touch.
Ah, but as far as I know, bonobos sex is all volentary, not coerced. Among wolves, however, the alpha male and female do have the right to control the mating habits of others in the pack.
