In the mid or late '70's my extremely dear friend, Steven Birchfield, joined the COG. I'm not sure if he joined and was sent to France, or if he went to France and then joined. In any case, in France he met and married his wife Fabienne. We wrote to each other while he was there and continued when they were sent to Zambia, Africa, then somewhere else in Africa. Then they came back to California for a very short time and I got to meet his wife and 3 little girls. The oldest (about 3yrs) was named Evangeline, I don't remember the others' names. Then, all of a sudden they were gone, and I don't know where.
That was in the early '80's. I haven't heard from them since then. I don't know his Family name, but he is tall, thin, blond, with beautiful blue eyes and the most amazing smile! He also loved to play the guitar and sing, and wrote music.
Does anyone recognize this discription, or his name? I would very much appreciate hearing from anyone who knew or knows him or his family, or could tell me if he is still in The Family or not, or where they might be now. We were very close and I have thought of them so very often through the years and have a real need to know if they are doing well, and how are little Evangeline and her sisters. Please help me.
