I really appreciated the research you did some weeks ago on help for the really difficult cases, battered women, etc. Sometimes having a landing place makes all the difference whether a person takes the step out or not.

By the way, my comment about what Peter and Maria saying "they're not united" was for the sake of Family members looking in. Unity in the Family is stressed so much, and individual expression is the first thing to suffer. But that unity is enforced from above while all the square pegs are hammered into round holes. Frankly, I'd rather see a few arguments from people free to express themselves than smothering "unity".

The one thing I valued the most after leaving the Family was the right and freedom to make up my own mind on moral and intellectual issues. I didn't have to believe heaven was inside the moon. I didn't have to believe blah blah blah.
