As Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light, so are HIS MINISTERS. As Satan quoted scripture to Christ, even so do his transformed ministers of righteousness to God's people. This is what he is allowed by God to do.

The scripture quoted in this instance was true, very true,"the heart is desperately wicked, who
can know it?" Further, God says that he who trust his own heart is a fool. Satan's trap through his false prophets (berg in this case) is to convince his subjects to trust in the words of these false prophets. If this Satan can accomplish he then can he himself replace God, His Holy Spirit, and Christ in the lives of his subjects, having transformed himself through his ministers. His ministers words (Satan's words) become God's Words, they stand in the place of the Holy Spirit in that person's life. It is that simple and that clever. After all, you are dealing with a MASTER DECEIVER, SATAN HIMSELF TRANSFORMED who quotes, twists, and reinterprets scripture.

Berg was not his only instrument.
