My kids are all doing well financially with good careers. But that wasn't the way it was for a long time! They all dropped out in the ninth grade, did alot of partying and some really crazy stuff, then got their GEDs, Scholarships and loans to get back in school. One is an RN and furthering his degrees. That is the oldest one and the one that had the most problems when he was younger. The middle one is an artist with a studio and works contract with different designers and individuals. He is financially successful. The youngest got a scholarship for his art talent (to Otis in L.A.) and also loans which he pays off. He now works with a firm in Texas as a senior designer. So they are all doing well in that way. The most damaged area is that I was so angry (and still a tad bit- haha) after leaving, and wanted no part of any belief system. We are all in that same boat. I don't wish that for me or for them, but that is the realistic fallout of the family on many people.
