I read and understood what you were posting. Where I disagree is with people who think that most "FGA's" joined and chose to be in the family and are responsible for that choice. I disagree because had we realized what we were getting into, most would not have joined, and certainly not have had kids in it. It is okay to have diverse opinions, but I definitely believe that we were all victims to it. The same way a battered woman and her children are victims to a battering partner until they REALIZE that it is not THEM that is wrong, but the out-of-control power freak. THEN they need support to make the break because there are genuine fears for their lives and for their children. Once out, education is very helpful to prevent or to recognize when getting into a similar situation. Then a person exercises taking control of their own lives. Knowledge is usually ahead of action. So yes, I definitely won't blame any victims of the family because anyone with any length of time in the F. either already had or after joining had the positive self-esteem knocked out of them. And that is putting it very lightly.
