Now that's a fine post by Jules! Thank you so much for coming to this site and speaking out. I really wish that more SGAs would, it helps me understand just what you are going through and helps us understand our own children.
I sure remember that rule of spanking until they stop crying. That always, always upset me. I would think, "How can you do that, how can you spank a child and expect them to stop crying?" It made no sense. I remember my little daughter's first drawings were all of sexy women with pasties on - when I think about it now, I realize how awful that is.
I really am sorry for all that you suffered and other SGAs who suffered so much. I hope it is clear that our site does not want to make excuses for the leaders/members/whoever perpetrated any crimes on our own children or others offspring. Thanks again for taking your time to come here and explain (I'm so tempted to say "share your heart" aaarrrggghhh).
