Do you really believe that?

In the first place, this is the usual spiel to make people feel sorry for the poor "folks". Comparing The Family with a corporation may be accurate but it is also a secret society, or rather a compartamentalized organization where the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. It is one of those places where "the folks" can say anything they want to and get away with it.

What they probably mean is that they are about to go below the half a billion dollars and are starting to feel the pressure. Sure they spend some momey in products but most of that is provisioned and at bargain prices so the minimum is operating at cost but not loosing. When that happenes, heads roll.

How much money is now the minimum that a home is supposed to send? Multiply that but about 10 thousand (and that is a low estimate for current units) and you will end up with bunches of money per month. Sure the economy is bad but they are probably trying to cover up some move, perhaps buying real estate, gold or diamonds.

Once a liar always a liar and their father is the father of all lies.
