I read through your post, twice, and am just going to go by the last line, because that is all that really interests me. Just so you know, it was not me that started the whole conversation. Someone else brought up the past and it went from there. However, I am glad that it came up and you have from what I can tell, judging by your last line, sincerely apologized and do feel remorse about it. I hope you realize too that past criticism was an attempt to help you wake up before you got burnt as you say you in fact did. It was never about anyone hating you and wanting to see you in a bad light.

If I'm understanding your post right, you touched on something about trying to always be a help? I think that's something worthy of discussing. Maybe another time, but what I'm thinking about is how it was so drummed into us that we had to be of help to someone all the time or we weren't sacrificing and therefore not a true Christian. I've had to do a lot of soul searching to get out of that mindset and out of this guilt that I wasn't doing enough. I think it would be a good subject to discuss one day. In any event, thanks for your post.
