I read yesterday on this board where someone said Berg asked us for "unquestioning obedience" and we had to give it. When you obey without being allowed to question that's control. Somebody too said we had to stop rational thinking and rebuke each doubt as the voice of the devil. So even if something struck us as off we were taught to just chalk it up to our carnal mind which could not understand the things of God. I think that sums it up, that and the fear that God would kill you if you disobeyed or if you left the Family.
