I was getting about 300-400 a day through a couple of my websites. I have a good anti virus program that updates daily and automatically checks my email for viruses. trendmicro.com pc-cillin. It also has a free virus check on their website.
Most of your viruses come as an attachment. If you don't know who the mail is coming from...delete it.
