I've read a bit on childhood development and notice there are about 5 stages between 0 and 10 years of age. Around age 8 is the "hero worship" stage. I personally believe that Berg not only froze us at a teen stage in the Family, but literally caused us to REGRESS. Maybe not in age but in emotional IQ and sense of dependency.
You have 45 and 55 year olds calling Maria "Mama" and even Berg called us "kids" (when we were already in our 40's) and boasted that we should "do so because Daddy said so." I believe he literally caused us to regress emotionally with social pressures, imposed taboos and rules and laws pressured by fear, to bring us back down to a group of 8-year olds all into "hero worship" of Berg himself.
