I had to stop there and address this point.

It seems that you think that being liberal is wrong and a bad word. This is a position advanced by a few radical conservatives in the 90s and I see it as pure hot air. I could not go on reading your message from that point on simply because of the amount of ideological baggage you bring in. I am sorry but I must decline to continue this interaction because I don't see how it can be a conversation.

I am not ashamed of being liberal, and very much so. I am also very conservative in many aspects, probably more than you. But your ideological approach to these issues prevent you from seeing the individuality the the system prevents from expressing through a bipartisan approach - BTW this is the type of things what I was talking about when I mentioned that the system is rotten.

Anyway, vote your conscience as I am sure you will. For now I am thinking that my vote will be to stay absent from the voting booth. Some people think that voting means giving a ballot to a candidate but the way I read the results from elections is that the vast majority of people do not believe that the government will really change enough to affect their life. I am one of them, skeptically but alert to the possibility of good. So far, none is in the horizon therefore my vote is against all of them.

If people think that is not American, they should buy their own constitution booklet and memorize it but most importantly, apply it to others not just to themselves.
