Maybe you could say that you are in touch with some of her relatives and they are worried about her and asked you to check on her for them. Somehow indicate to them without being threatening that they could be liable for forced imprisonment if she is not able to visit with her family or have them check up on her. They've been in enough trouble, they should be wary of getting into more trouble. I think the missing persons idea is good too.
