TF always was into a caste system. Remember "associate colonies" back in the early 70s? Leaders & "royal" family? What's amazing to me is how they got a bunch of red-blooded Americans raised with notions of individualism and equality to buy into that medieval, old world way of thinking. A major reason I never stuck around TF very long was because I resented the special priviledges leadership took and the way they lorded certain things over the rank-and-file. Since I've always tended to identify with the proletariat, I never could bring myself to suck up to leadership--which in my case as a woman, would have meant sleeping with the colony shepherd or visiting leaders.
