What a ploy.. The family seems to be the definition of Marx as the opiate of the people. Take all their outside info away, pump them with propoganda that is repetitious and tortuous (letters and GNs) and you will have them in a wearied state of mind as well as a deprived one. THEN make sure that they get tension relief by giving them "Party" time with alcohol and sex. This "Party" time would then be much more intense because it would be the only release from the strict cloistered rest of the day or week for the youth. I guess it is akin to spiritual starvation and annihilation backed up by those rationed "privileges"..
