Good comeback. AA has its culties, that's for sure. That's why I always stick with, "Take what you like, and leave the rest." IMO, there is a radical individualism at the core of AA that insists on the primacy of "the God of MY understanding"...not the God of my sponsor, who is just as open to the emotional drunk of stinkin' thinkin' as any other recovering alcoholic.
