That is very appropriate for their ethos, "spiritual materialism." Sounds like an oxymoron but that's them. The crown, a mansion bigger than Mrs Stonehearts, being a ruler. They make such a big deal about how much they've forsaken worldly wealth, but the do it all in pursuit of the carrot of gold in the moon (and in flight from the stick of...what was it? Oh yeah, i forgot, a meaningless life for yourself and family instead of Zerby and Peter and Natasha etc.)
The spirituality that draws me has more to do with inner balance and grounding in the things that ultimately matter, in the face a reality in constant flux.
