Neocons is a popular term for a group of Washington insiders who are extremely influential with regard to Bush Administration policy. In the COG, we called them "top leaders." I could probably come up with a short list for you--this "dream team" of conservative thinkers includes Paul Wolfowitz, the Asst. Deputy of Defense; Dick Cheney, the Vice President...
They share a common political philosophy and vision. Nothing wrong with that. I happen to disagree with them on several important points. I also understand something very important they are saying, which is quite simple: America is the dominant global economic and military empire, and that is a fact we must reckon with.
