Which is why I usually refrain from posting. As far as I can see, the exer boards are dominated by conservative Americans - conservative in their religion and conservative in their politics. And why is the word "liberal" worse than a swear word in the US?
Bush - like Reagan - is great for America, but a disaster for the rest of the world. I live in a region that may never recover from Reagan's policies. If it does, it will take decades. Millions of emigrants, millions of refugees, displaced persons creating enormous social problems for countries that just don't have the resources to deal with them. Soaring crime, prostitution, drugs, family desintegration - the "collateral damage" of US foreign policy.
I consider myself to be a believing, saved Christian. If I get to heaven and Reagan and Bush are there I'll be asking for a transfer!
When I see Bush on the news his arrogance is almost palpable. I threw rocks at the US Embassy during Vietnam. I feel like doing it again right now. Not a very Christian sentiment but that is how frustrated many people are feeling around the world.
