You're right that chlorine would kill both the sperm & herpes in the pools but remember that also depends on how fresh it is. I remember taking my kids out to the pool & there was a naked couple in the water who looked like they were just finishing. I asked, 'Did you guys just have sex?' The guy said, 'Sure'. I said I was just about to take my kids swimming & now the pool was full of sperm. He replied, 'It's just protein.'
