I don't know if discussions of such matters are permitted here at present but I couldn't resist posting a link to this article on the BBC website.
Needless to say, as the bleeding-heart liberal that I am I'm with those who blame Thatcher's promotion of money and selfishness for the state of my country, not the 60s. American's who loved Thatcher's clone, President Reagan, presumably will take the opposite view!
