Do you think The Family is a cult?
In a conversation with a sociology professor, the idea was brought up to me that TF is not a cult. The professor stated to me that she thinks that “cult” is a term that in current usage does more harm than good. And although she does not agree with some of the practices of the group, big business also does a lot of harm to individuals and no one ever seems to question that. By observing that, she thinks she is getting a balance.
I was wondering what other people thought of that statement.
