I was there when Jethro and Deborah left - this was at the time of the RNR. Faithy didn't come right away but years later.

The actual culture created in the country I was in sent all homes to being selah - which really meant separated from each other. There was a lot of rivalry among nationals. There were only a couple of VS for the whole southamerica, which didn't help any as far as getting together. The few leaders were not elected but appointed, contrary to what appeared in the letters. The RNR didn't change things much at all.

As far as sex, there was very little of that going around for the next few years unless you had a mate and the letters were obeyed - but not much. Much less sexual abuse of children.

Sexual abuse of children must have appeared when Faithy and Juan came to the area as top leaders and they started appointing their favorites. That was easy around 81-82 and so on, not before.

I don't know how it was in other countries, I was in Peru.
