charlie, I am talking here about the dynamics of the family from the top. It does not mean that some people did not form bonds in spite of those dynamics or that some situations did not offer a better opportunity for people to do that due to less supervision or the particular leadership they were under. I don't doubt your bonds. I was moved around so much I didn't get real close to many people. My background did not cause me to be the more social butterfly type either. That is just my experience. Also, most people I got closer to were for briefer times and largely they were European. Not one single one that I knew post here or on any other exer board. I have no idea how to contact them or whether they are still in the family or not. They don't come here.
I am talking about dynamics of a cult. The idea is for loyalty to be to the top. To achieve that objective, any relationship that seems to take precedence can be busted up. It happened to me many times. But perhaps that was not your experience. I am glad it was not the case for you.
