No problem. I figured that's what happened. What prompted my post, and references to genocide, was that I had just watched a panel discussion on evil. The participants were the Canadian General who attempted to warn about and stop the Rwandan genocide, but whose pleas to the international community fell on deaf ears, a holocaust survivor who's written books on the nature of evil and worked with survivors of the Rwandan genocide, a Rwandan whose family sent him out of the country shortly before they were all massacred, and the mother of a woman murdered by the notorious killer, Paul Bernardo. There were just so many things in their discussion that spoke to me that I was wondering "out loud" in my post if there might be lessons I/we can learn from those horrific events.

I saw the Band of Brothers when it was first broadcast, but I was in a completely different state of mind then so any lessons in it were lost on me. Maybe I'll catch it again when its rebroadcast.

I'm looking forward to your poem.
