I hope you don't mind if I "pick your brain" a bit for info on creating a website. My questions are very basic and I could probably find the answers elsewhere, but you have obvious expertise that could probably save me a lot of time.
My service provider gives me up to 70mb to create a web page. My domain name, however, would be cumbersome; something like this: members.[provider].[country code]/username.
You mentioned spending $15 to register a domain name, but what is the process after that. If I registered a more convenient, identifying domain name, how do I then go about creating my personal web page?
Your approach to dealing with MinOtel was awesome. And I agree, how this whole episode made you feel is analogous to how many of us feel or felt about our cultic experience, though to a much lesser degree. I also agree with your analysis that any exposure of TF's nefarious ways on the Internet is a valuable service to those who might get sucked in by their tricks.
