Although your "expression" may be sincere, I really don't understand why you feel the need to express here it all. It might have been better to express your sentiments to individuals rather than to the whole community here, since not everyone in this community is a Christian.

I find Xmas, as you refer to it, a particularly disturbing time of year for me, as it reminds me of the uglier aspects of Christianity's impact on the world. I abhor the incessant, hypocritical, and meaningless greetings at this time of year. I live in one of the most multi-cultural places in the world, where public celebrations of various religious and ethnic holidays are common. It is only the Christians that feel the necessity to impose their celebrations on others.

As you can see, your post triggered me. Regardless of how sincere you were, a true friend, as you claim to be, would have had more understanding than you have displayed in posting that greeting.
