What's interesting about Maria's Memorial site for her son is what it doesn't show:
1) Photo shows Auntie Flirt all cosey with Ricky and reading him a book, but we don't see Auntie going down on the lad as the second part of this family's bedtime ritual.
2) Photo shows Grandpa at the kitchen table making muffins and cookies with the kids, but we don't see Gramps flying into an alcoholic rage 20 minutes later.
3) I don't recall seeing a single picture of Ricky as an adolescent sitting in a classroom with peers or doing homework with friends. I didn't see any pics of him playing organized sports with his peers. Not every adolescent is into athletics, but Ricky was. The lack of developmentally appropriate educational and recreational activity was something that Ricky complained about to his "loving" Mama. He also talks about his loneliness and isolation from peers in his video as a cause of his confusion and rage.
