Now you're putting words in my mouth. I never "advocated for [cannabis] as being the most effective means for treating anxiety", or that people shouldn't seek psychiatric advice.

Furthermore, there are many psychiatrists who recognize that some patients can benefit from cannabis.

How would you know that "any "strain" can cause or exacerbate anxiety."

Why wouldn't you "recommend a do-it-yourself grow your own treatment"? People did that for thousands of years. Of course, I wouldn't recommend some folk medicine, such as blood-letting, but herbal home-grown or locally collected remedies have been around a long time. Scientists are now turning to certain indigenous cultures to learn from their collective wisdom and knowledge about plants with medicinal properties that they have used for centuries.

If you add up the yearly deaths in the U.S. attributed to pharmaceuticals, over the counter medications such as aspirin, medical malpractice, and infections caught while in a hospital it amounts to well over 100,000 people.
