In '88-'89 there was a purge, part of it was about DO lit going straight into the hands of the Family's worst enemies such as CAN. At this time the door got closed on a lot people's visas in Japan because of the French doctor & father of one member there who thought he was favorable and when he invited him the HCS he turned up with the media, etc. (If I remember right.) Caused a real stir and Japanese immigrations black listed tons of people. So there was a huge re-organization and a lot of leadership moved to Europe and Latin America. Something happened with all the homes in Europe being put on probation, in other words before they could continue to get DO lit they'd have to be checked out by leadership first to make sure they weren't the leak. Wasn't it called "Tighten the Family"?. I don't remember very well what it said about mates and separations, but I do remember there being something about that too.
