The Family is so insignificant that most if not all Christians have ever heard of them. After being upfront with all in my church about the cult I was in and who they are, out of several hundred people not one person had ever heard of them. The sam holds true of the Christian University I attend. It seems one insignificant cult is being given too much credit. Even with how TF has been in the news of late there are very few Christains of which I am associated with many with my activity, and studying for the ministry have heard about TF. There are much more important things happening that effect their lives than a cult who is a zero. Because I am one who is an ex-member I had made a part of my ministry to make people aware of TF and destructive cults in general. To make a sweeping statement about Christians of whom one has only general knowledge is unfair and un-researched.
