Except that it was no cool aid. And all it would have taken was a look at the link and a scan of the first free chapters to realize that.
If Joseph endorsed a specific project and someone reposted a link here my first reaction would not be territorial and legalistic. I would assume that it could be an interesting thing because Joseph has been around for years and runs a site. His name carries some credibility. He has good credit. Maybe a private email could better take care of the bureaucratic issue.
Still, just like TV, people have a remote to turn it off. Posting a link to something that is sold leaves the decision and responsibility in the hands of the people who will read about the project and decide if they are interested.
I think the analogy with the cool aid is exaggerated and faulty rhetoric. It only dramatizes and polarizes the issue further.
