Check out this entry for January 22:

"With guitars and Bibles in hand we set out on our way to Main St. After about an hour, our enthusiasm was met with an abrupt: "You can't be here unless you have a performing permit!” After finding out that the bearer of this "bad news" was a professing Christian, we asked him if he agreed with a law that would forbid our sharing the Gospel with those who needed it. We were surprised when he said that he did agree with the law."

So what did these revolutionary profits do? Certainly NOT apply for a performing permit! Heck, no. That would imply they were trained by a legitimate, law-abiding Christian organization to understand the difference between street performing and "sharing the Good News" as an exercise of free speech. Pfft! What are the mere laws of man, anyway? A performing permit would cost money, might cut into the profits' fund-raising scam by giving the local government a piece of their action.
