The Moonies' Heavenly Deception

Posted by PB on January 28, 2007 at 16:12:47

"One of the central doctrines of the Moon relig[i]ous aspects is what they call heavenly deception,” the FBI report said. “It basically says that to take from Satan what rightfully belongs to God, you may do most anything. You may lie, cheat, steal or kill."

That quotation is from this lengthy (took me an hour to read) but fascinating investigative report on the Moonies:

Seems like most cults have a doctrine of deceit that allows them to lie and cheat. Family leaders can only drool and dream that they could ever have the money (billions) and political influence (personal connections to U.S. presidents) that the Moonies have.

Like other criminal religious organizations, the Moonies hide under the U.S. constitution's first ammendment right to freedom of religion, which has been distorted from its original intent by bad case law (see Marci Hamiliton's God vs The Gavel, even while working towards their endgame of a totalitarian theocracy where all individual rights are denied.
