It sound like your saying the first gen's shouldn't be concerned about their immidiate children and grands.
Of course there were MANY if not all children that were hurt. So because of that should the first gen's just throw up their hands and say it's pointless? I think if we had a few MORE 1st gen's who would leave TF and roll up their sleeves and get down and dirty re-building their families, reconciling with their kids doing ANYTHING to reconcile and openly addressing every issue their children have with the past, we would have a lot less angry 2nd gen's. Where else should they start if not with their own children?
So many 1st gen's had it drilled into to them the unimportance of your own children. "Look at the bigger picture" etc. It's easy not to deal with immidate personal issues if you keep thinking, "this is to big for me." I salute ANY 1st gen'r that is making an effort to reconcile and be there for their children. What else matters in life other than family?
