It's cool to see the evolution of your thinking, Thinker. Now I understand why you chose that nick for posting. I also subscribe to dependency theory, but I haven't thought about it in a very long time. I had to do a few searches to recall the social science label for the perspective you are taking.

I'm not real familiar with all the permutations of game theory. The wiki article is interesting. I can't say I get all the math, but I do get much of the interactive modeling. I tend to think in spatial patterns like that. Math is about thinking in symbolic patterns. I'm not always able to bring the two together.

I agree with your assessment of conspiracy theory. It's very difficult for me to see world affairs as being driven by a small cabal of rational actors. There are too many contingencies or sets of players for just a few to be able to pull all the levers according to some well executed plan.
