"lay-people", working members of the church, with some requirements in conduct, faith etc. & if you resist the "urge" to build any fancy building or at first rather meet in homes or easy to rent buildings, I believe some weight is off the appointed cashier; the little I know about our local finance-situation: these are the major points, is the main chunk...I wouldn't want to be so impolite as to say, that many a religious study is also questionable, it can help at times, but I'd say, that many a church moved away from the simplicity of the early times, in regards to the material aspects as well as Faith & logic is concerned.You can't prove faith by a
philosophical study...may be the doctorate in philosophy helps the current pope to gain "respect" here & there, but may be it's really a waste of time...so there is quite a lot of extra weight in a lot of theological faculties & that by the way costs also money.
