Changing culture--a few thoughts

I have a problem with the whole King & Queen thing. How are M&P going to change the culture they've built around this? It's foundational to their power and identity. Are they going to go to a system where the next leader(s) get elected? If they truly want to change things, they should start with thinking about how to transition themselves out of power. While they're at it, they need to think about how to compensate long-term members (retirement entitlement). I'm not so interested in talking about mistakes of the past: I'm interested in how they plan to move forward to take care of any future injustices, such as capricious leadership that can't be removed, economic benefits for long-term membership, and protecting children from neglect and abuse.

You're right in saying we've changed. Many of us have little interest in apologies. I just want the people who are in that cult, particularly the kids, to have a chance at a decent education and have the benefit of stronger internal policies and protocols for addressing rape.
