What kind of personalities do they recrute?

I think I am posting this in the right section. I am just wondering who gets pulled into the family? I'm not as interested in people born into it as people recruited into it. Anyone with a story I would love to hear them. I want to understand what it was like for you. I am also interested in hearing stories from recruiters. I recruited for the USMC and we looked for certain things, so I guess there will be similarities. The reason I want this information is I wish to compare the process with bootcamp. Any help would be great. Thank you all for your time.
