I am sorry to hear about your experience. I have nothing even close to compare but old age has its benefits and I have seen something that may be helpful. Once upon a time, I met a young woman who the year before had had am abortion. She was 18 when I met her. I followed her life for many years and observed her making her share of mistakes but never failed to draw strength from that very abortion. She used it to remind her of the types of things she needed to avoid, anything that would put her in the same path.

I am not sure I am saying it right but basically she learned that everything has consequences and some of them are more difficult to deal with that others. It was painful, and she is still saddened by her memories, but she has used that decision as a way to strengthen her own spiritual life. I see her, as do other people, as a mature and strong role model to many young people.

I hope you can turn your pain into a similar source of strength for you and for others.
