If you want to protect your privacy, them copy and paste the link (also known as URL) into your own browser, especially if you are going to visit a webpage in facebook.
Users can get from facebook the names of people who visit them you are logged in but they also have the ability of collecting cookies from other sources and eventually identify your computer, which in most cases can be used to identify you.
Be warned.
