It sours my stomach when I read things where the person writing almost always posts scriptures to state their viewpoint.
Or uses scripture to try to exhort or correct or to get the point across about what Jesus or God really mean with any given quote. It seems jesus reserved quoting scripture to people like "Satan" "Is it not written...?" or to people that were making a business out of spirituality.
In general he seemed to have talked to people in everyday language and sometimes by painting pictures with words to make stories called parables.
What happened to God over time? Why did God go to school to learn how to use body language for dramatic effect when speeeeeeaking-guh?
It just irks me. That is why I like the dark humor or Jeee-sus.
I don't discount that some seem to find comfort in any religion. It just isn't my cup of Java. Agnosticism fits best for me. I don't view my opinion as more valid than others but I sure don't see it as less.
