I thought, after I posted the link, that maybe it would have been better to post it at Gen-X, but then I thought, it really is about spirituality and how it has been packaged and sold to the detriment of others which is a collective experience for most here when it comes to Jesus ala TF.
Lydia, I respect you and realize you have a strong Christian faith. I know you relate to a mainstream non-high drama church and I know that offers comfort to you. I don't ridicule that at all.
At the same time, I think it's fair to talk about the effects of having been in the Family and knowing that Jesus, and hating that Jesus.
Jesus the pimp daddy, Jesus the sex-addict, Jesus the destroyer of children, and their parents too in many cases.
For some, like for you, you have been able to find comfort in a church where Jesus is not about any of that.
But for me and for some here, Jesus, no matter what package he comes in, feels synonymous with rape, abuse and incest.
